12 Hour D&D Marathon: Against the Giants!

Celebrate Extra Life Tabletop Appreciation Weekend With Open Heart Games!

Charity is at the heart of what we do. Since our inception, we have been working with Extra Life to raise money for our local children’s hospital, Carilion Children’s. Every month, we donate a portion of our sales to this terrific organization and cause. Today, we are extremely excited to announce our newest event—A 12 Hour Dungeons & Dragons Marathon! The event will take place Saturday, August 21st, in celebration of Extra Life Tabletop Appreciation Weekend! The marathon will begin at 10:00 am EST and will end at 10:00 pm EST. And this time, we are not just donating a portion of our sales—the entire ticket price, every penny, will go directly to Extra Life and benefit our local children’s hospital.

Tickets for our 12 Hour Marathon will be $100 and you will make your “payment” directly to Extra Life. Seating is limited to 7 players. I will be running the classic Dungeons & Dragons module (updated for 5E): Against the Giants from Tales from the Yawning Portal. This module is an adventure pitting players against several types of giants whom the players have been hired to defeat!

The entire marathon will be live-streamed on our brand-new Twitch channel! We encourage everyone to tune in (even if just for a bit)! Even if you don’t wish to participate as a player, there will be opportunities for viewers to participate too via the chat feature. And of course, we will be encouraging all viewers to make a donation to Extra Life and their noble cause!

If you are interested in signing up, or learning more about this event, please email me directly at karington@openheartgames.com.

Again, this 12 Hour Marathon will take place on Saturday, August 21st 10:00 am EST – 10:00 pm EST. Cost is $100 donated directly to Extra Life and seating is limited to 7 players.
