Heroes’ Feast

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving here in the United States and, as such, I felt it would be an appropriate time for us to give thanks for all of the things I am grateful for here at Open Heart Games. I am grateful for our wonderful community of fans, friends, donors, and players. We have, in our first year, exceeded every goal and expectation that I have set for us this year and I am both awed and amazed at the generosity, the compassion, and the outpouring of support for our small business and the charity that we support.

I am thankful for all of the opportunities I have had to play with such a diverse and interesting group of players throughout the years—all of whom I call friends and who are welcome at my table any time. I am thankful for all of the memories I have been able to make over the years with different groups. I am thankful for all of my early players and their patience with me as I learned the ropes of game mastery and roleplaying. I am thankful for my wife and partner who goes along with my hair-brained schemes, handles all of our social media, and still makes time for our own personal game nights. I am thankful to be able to simultaneously do what I love and to be able to support a charity that is so near and dear to my heart.

So to the supporters and friends of Open Heart Games, we raise a glass in your honor. May your cup never run dry, your dice never fumble, and may all your characters reach the end of the campaign and take home all the treasure!

Take Heart!
