Looking to the Horizon: the Rest of 2022 at Open Heart Games
Greetings friends, we are back to blogging regularly after a brief hiatus (as preparing for and attending Gen Con 2022 took more out of me than I thought it would). We returned from Gen Con 2022 to head straight into the very exciting and highly anticipated release of Spelljammer 5e! I have talked about this a fair amount on the blog which you can read about here and here.
This release has been so well received by the community that it even has inspired its own soundtrack! I gave it a listen while writing this blog post—it’s fun!
After months of waiting, I finally have a copy in my hands and I cannot wait to share my thoughts with you here on the blog. I know you are as excited as I am about this release and so I will be sharing my thoughts on the product as soon as I have had time to do more than flip through the pages and glance at the art.
COMING SOON - Spelljammer Confirmed!
I am proud to announce our very own Spelljammer Campaign! You heard that right, Spelljammer Confirmed! We are so close to wrapping up the first campaign we launched with Open Heart Games–Rime of the Frostmaiden–and upon the completion of that campaign, be on the lookout for the announcement of our very own Spelljammer: Light of Xaryxis campaign coming soon!
September 4th - Call of the Netherdeep Session 1
After months of planning we are finally starting our Call of the Netherdeep Campaign and I am so excited to run this campaign for our players. We are so excited for our first foray into the world of Exandria and to share new stories and make new memories with our friends in this unique story! November 5th - Extra Life Game Day
Remember, remember the 5th of November! Our next marathon will be here before you know it and we will be continuing our playthrough of Against the Giants with all the money raised during the event benefiting our local children’s hospital, Roanoke Carilion Children’s! This will be our 4th session battling Against the Giants and this time, those pesky Giants are going down once and for all! (Hopefully.)
